The Leyla series has monochrome colored kilims with natural dyed yarns to add a contrast to the minimalist style and bohemian decoration. Geometric figures as triangles or rectangular dominate the minimal design as a symbol of unspoken culture of Anatolia. As stated in yin-yang philosophy everything exists with its contrast and neither black nor white can give up each other. "Leyla" – meaning night in Turkish- is the most meaningful word that tells us about these two color cycles. Night can only exist if day exists. We must give space to white to see black. Leyla kilims are the most peaceful piece of bohemian decoration just like night.
